Top 10 free multiplayer FPS games playable on linux

Here you will get to know about few best multiplayer FPS games playable on linux. By playable I mean the games are either native linux games or playable using Steamplay proton . All the games mentioned are lesser known and Free to play on steam. I have not included any well known titles like CS:GO or team fortress etc. I have personally tested each and every game myself and they all work pretty well.

NOTE: these games are arranged randomly so no numbering is done from best to worse.

1 . Polygon : Multiplayer Shooter

Polygon is a 32 player multiplayer shooter where you can battle in vast number of maps. This game has gorgeous graphics, excellent controls and a lot more to discover. It has no native linux support but runs pretty well on steamplay proton. This game deserves a try.

2.Bear Party : Adventure

This is a game with some different theme where bears fight with paintball. This game is partially multiplayer but a lot of fun.

3. Splitgate

This is a si-fi multiplayer fps game which revolves around portals. Its currently in beta but still impressive.

4.Cartoon Strike

It is almost CS:GO but minecraft version. The game is fun to play and a great timekiller.

It has gorgeous maps with many playable characters.

 5.War Trigger 3

The game is as fun to play as its name. Maps are amazing but in my opinion controls are a bit weird for first few hours of play but you would feel fine sooner. Overall it is an amazing game to give a try.

6.Warframe

I know this is not a fps game but I have included this due to amazing compatibility with proton and an amazing si-fi gameplay experince. This game really worth your time.

7.Codename Cure

It is a  zombie fps co-po multiplayer game. It supports upto 5 players. The best thing is it has native linux support.

8.Wild Warfare

This game is a cartoon style fps games based around racoons or foxes which i cannot figure out but overall fun to play.

9.War Fork 

This is a overall low system demanding si-fi fps game with best controls and fast-pace  gameplay.

10. Red Eclipse 2

This si-fi fps game is my personal favourite. I like its si-fi jumping mechanics and the weapons each with a different use.
